Hi, my name is Bridget Ferris! I am a fourth-year Health Promotion major at the University of Georgia with a strong passion for improving community health and wellness. I plan to pursue a master’s degree in Health Policy and Management to further my knowledge and contribute to creating impactful health solutions at both the local and national level.
In my future career, I aspire to work in hospital administration, where I can evaluate and enhance the hospital’s impact on the surrounding community to ensure equitable and effective health outcomes. I want to work in this area because as I have gotten older I have found a passion for helping people who cannot always help themselves. This passion of mine has grown as I have gotten to work on more services during college. This includes things like UGA Miracle where I work directly with high schoolers to teach them the importance of caring for kids in hospitals who cannot help themselves.
Outside of school activities, I work at a yoga studio. I also practice yoga at this studio, I have found yoga to be a calming stress free activity that makes me feel better if I am overly stressed. Additionally I also like to go for walks with my dog in order to move away from a screen and get my body moving.
